Portsmouth

The Portsmouth Society is an independent voluntary body affiliated to the Civic Trust with the purpose of promoting good design in the built environment.

In their newsletter of September 2005 they outlined their criticisms of Centros Miller’s plans to redevelop the Northern Quarter in Portsmouth. Just as in Lancaster, their main concerns were traffic, impact on the existing city centre, and the lack of real public consultation by Centros Miller.
