What IOC is doing now
Following the formal closure of the public inquiry, the inspector is writing his report for the Secretary of State giving his recommendations for the scheme. The Secretary of State is due to issue his decision on or before January 14th 2010.
Meanwhile IOC are participating in two consultation exercises organised by Lancaster Council. The first involves a new planning performance agreements charter and the second a redefinition of the conservation areas in Lancaster.

Inquiry Timetable 2009
- 20th April - Pre-Inquiry Meeting
- 19th May - Deadline for submitting Proofs of Evidence
- 9th June - Deadline for submission of Rebuttals to Proofs of Evidence
- 16th June - The inquiry will start at 10am in Lancaster Town Hall and is expected to last for 3 weeks.
- 2nd July - Inquiry adjourned for closing submissions.
- 17th July - deadline for closing statements
- 14th January 2010 - Decison from Secretary of State due.
