Final Date for Objections: 07-August-08
The great majority of the planning applications from 2007 remain unchanged as mentioned on page 3 of the covering letter for the new main outline planning application. The new planning applications are listed in the first table below and the planning applications from 2007 are listed in the second table. As far as we understand at present, any objections to planning applications from 2007 still stand so it is the new/updated applications in the first table below which should be objected to. Summary of the new updated planning applications
08/00866/OUT replaces the previous application 07/00672/OUT and is the masterplan for the whole canal coridoor north site. 0700602/OUT is a slightly revised version of the same application from 2007 with the main change being a reduction in the height of a new building next to the Golden Lion. 08/00864/OUT is a new application for a large residential and parking complex which fills the space between Leonardgate and Alfred St. 08/00865/OUT seems to have replaced 07/00589/OUT with the main change being the removal of leisure facilities.| App Ref. | Date | Address | Proposal |

What you can do now
The grounds for submitting objections to the new plans to be broadly similar to those found on the archived How To Object page, as the new Centros plans are essentially the same as the old ones. It is important that your objection if it makes reference to the ways in which the Centros plans contravene local and national planning policies. While we have copies of all the relevant planning documents on our website you can find some additional documents such as comments that members of the public have posted relating to particular planning applications which can be reached from the main Lancaster City Council website planning application pages. If you want to find details about a particular application you can go directly to their Application Search link. Advice on how to use this procedure is given below.
In the Application Reference box at the top of the Application Search page, type in the full application reference number such as 08/00866/OUT then click the search button at the bottom. The new page will show a short summary table of the application. Next click on the right pointing arrow under click to view at the right end of the table which will bring up the detailed application. To see the list of documents associated with the application click on the associated documents tab at the right then click view associated documents which will open a new page with a list of the documents. To view the documents read the instructions at the top of the page.
