PPS1 31 January 2005 Planning Policy Statement 1 - Sets out the Government's overarching planning policies on the delivery of sustainable development through the planning system. Note that all references in the text to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) now refer to Communities and Local Government.

A public consultation exercise was carried out by Communities and Local Government on the draft Planning Policy Statement (PPS): Planning and Climate Change. The closure date for receipt of responses was 8th March 2007. A total of 324 responses from different organisations were received and the analysis of these is contained in this report.
